A family of tourists loses their puppy. After a long night lost in the forest, the puppy is found by PETER, a young country worker who adopts him and takes him to his aunt and uncle's farmhouse.
Naming him "SCRUFF", he lives among the farm animals and a couple of other dogs called SANDA and TRICKS, who will all be his new family. The farm dwellers find that they don't really know what to do with SCRUFF - he is no good at hunting, nor as a watchdog - although they soon find out that SCRUFF does have some very special qualities...
SCRUFF is a journey of enlightenment, with each new episode bringing a new adventure for SCRUFF, our little naive and trusting puppy. He wants to learn about the farm through the farm animals and pets, about the forest with its wild animals - and perhaps the most complicated of all, the ways of humans - bringing SCRUFF and audiences constant food for thought.
