Uncle Ron and Aunt Lil are preparing to welcome a group of friends to Tolosa Farm. There friends are keen to learn of and experience the traditions of the shortest night of the year and them to tell them all the old peasant beliefs about the solstice eve.
But when the visitors arrive to Tolosa Farm, Uncle Ron – who doesn’t remember any of the stories he knew from his grandfather– finally invents one! He asks them if they have already seen a blue summer solstice fox... The guests are dazzled... Blue foxes!
Meanwhile the family try to make Princess live on another farm where a nasty big Great Dane lives. Knowing Princess will be frightened, Scruff rescue’s Princess and together they run away to the forest.
The nasty Great Dane angrily chases them to fight with Scruff. Exhausted after running, Scruff and Princess fall asleep by a plant which, during that special night, becomes a love plant. It has the power to make who sleeps by it to fall in love with the first person he or she sees when awaken.
The problem is that, when Scruff wakes up, he sees another dog, Sanda, and he falls absolutely in love with her. Poor little Princess!!
